We all want the latest and greatest Android software on our devices. Sadly, unless you have a Nexus device you have to sit around and wait for the OEM and carrier to make the push. Whenever that might be. The unlocked international versions of certain devices always get some update love long before the U.S. carrier versions do and it looks like Samsung is prepping up another one for the Galaxy S III (i9300). SamMobile has gotten their grubby little fingers on an Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean TouchWiz build thanks to XDA member
Saturn.
New enhancements in I9300XXUFMB3 FW:
– Android 4.2.1 – JOP40D
– Improved Ripple effect on Lockscreen
– New Android 4.2.1 Lockscreen with widgets
– Daydream (Settings>Display)
– New Additions in Notification Center
– Notifications are more actionable

– Found more? Tell us about them in the comments below!
They have fully tested out pre-released firmware and have made an ODIN flashable package for those of you that are brave enough to give it a whirl. It doesn’t contain any modem changes, so the modem you have now will stay the same. As a pre-release there are chances for bugs and potential issues. Knowing how to go back to previous software will be key. If you are brave and can’t wait to get your paws on something new, direct yourself over to
SamMobile for instructions and the file. Just remember, this is for the i9300, not for current U.S. models.
