Users will now be able to curate their own magazines on Android devices with the newest Flipboard update. The service has been on iOS for a couple of months.
Users tap the [+] button to save stories, photos, audio, or basically anything found on the web. The app also adds sharing features on Android. Content can be added from the Gallery & other apps on you device. You can bookmark items on your browser to add content to your magazines and receive notifications when people like, comment or subscribe to your magazines.
In addition to the app, a web-based Editor was also launched. Flipboard Editor gives everyone the chance to organize stories, photos and videos in their magazine or delete content.
Starting today, The Financial Times is available on all editions of Flipboard as well. Financial Times subscribers will now have full, unlimited access to content featured on FT.com, while blogs and videos are available for free.
You can download version 2.0 of Flipboard on Google Play or check out the Flipboard Editor at editor.flipboard.com.
