Free movies in the Play Store, US and India get Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Oh how we love the holiday seasons. Google usually gives the gift that keeps on giving. Be it a crazy sale on a slew of games or apps, or a free movie, we all love whatever it is. Today the news of a free set of movies is making its way across the web. A few locales are getting the same flick to add to their digital Play Store collection, while Google users in other locales are getting something totally different.  Here in the US, India and Brazil we all get to snag Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in HD, the 2001 title that brought a new generation to the J.R.R. Tolkien world without the use of cartoon characters.

Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring

In Italy and the UK you guys have been gifted Sherlock Holmes. Australia can grab Pacific Rim.  The colder locations, Germany and Canada, have been offered up National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, but I am seeing some say Clash of the Titans in Germany as well. While the fine people of France can start streaming The Polar Express.

Obviously there are plenty other locales out there then the ones listed. Hit the links above to see if the selected movie is available or not and leave a comment for which one is, if you aren’t listed above of course. If you happen to see something totally different, then let us know that too. Happy movie day everyone.

Nice heads up Neil. Additional movies and locations via AndroidPolice & Android Central
