I love it when I see that “updates” icon hit the top left of my device. Running close to 300 apps on my phone currently, it could be for nearly any number of applications. It was nice to see a Google Maps update waiting for me.
So what is new in the latest edition of Google Maps?
- Personalize Places pages by uploading photos of your visit.
- Manage your starred and recently visited Places in the “My Places” tab.
- Add a new place to Places when checking in.
- See descriptive terms for Places in search results and Places pages.
That’s a fair amount of useful stuff to be added. If you haven’t checked for the update yet, head on in to your market app and check your apps for the update.
