LG Nitro HD

The LG Nitro HD, AT&T’s second 4G LTE compatible smartphone, is now available for $249.99 with the signing of a two-year contract. If you want the phone without having to commit the next 24 months of your life away, the Nitro will run you $599.99.

The Nitro features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor for better web browsing and seamless multitasking. It also boasts a 4.5″ HD display and a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. There’s an 8MP rear-facing camera that allows you to capture stunning photographs and 1080p video on-the-go, and a 1.3MP front-facer that lets you take advantage of the device’s video chat capabilities. Throw in 4GB of internal storage and a pre-installed 16GB microSD card, and we’re looking at one of AT&T’s hottest devices.

The LG Nitro HD joins the HTC Vivid in Ma Bell’s limited portfolio of 4G devices, though many more are expected to follow in the near future with the expansion of AT&T’s network. AT&T’s 4G LTE service is now available in 15 cities, and is expected to cover an estimated 70 million Americans by the end of 2011.
