More testing and debugging over on XDA has come up with the folowing solution for Cyanogens latest ROMs. Â I haven’t been able to very this myself as I’m running Enomther’s AOSP ROM so use at your own risk.

leave the rest as is. I have tested this on my G1 with the rom in my sig and know that it works. And it should keep your navi intact and still play nice with the rest of your apps.
