Presumably only a few hours before the device is due to be officially announced at CES 2015, the LG G Flex 2 press release has been leaked early in its entirety, including all the details about the device including several press images that really show what kind of device LG‘s second generation G Flex is going to be. From the press images, we see exactly how curved the G Flex 2 is going to be, which is actually a little less than its predecessor, just as we surmised from yesterday’s sneak peek.
As previous leaks go, many of the suspected specs of the G Flex 2 appear to be spot on – a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0, and a 5.5-inch 1080p display (curved, of course). Perhaps one of the key carry-overs from the original G Flex is that the self-healing material on the back of the device returns, but this time with dramatically faster healing – LG alleges that while the old G Flex took about three minutes to heal, the G Flex 2’s back will heal in about ten seconds at room temperature. We can’t wait to see that in action.
If you’re interested in the other specifications, we’ve got them listed below, ripped straight from the leaked press release:

The press release says that the G Flex 2 will become available in Korea starting at the end of January with other unspecified global markets later. No pricing was given, but we’d suspect a rather premium price, like the original G Flex, is in order, though this time, I think it might actually be worth it.
