Orange Brings Their Own Branded Device to France, “Tactile Internet?”

Ok, weird name alert! Orange France has stepped in, offering their own branded device titled “Tactile Internet.” Orange is launching this entry-level device aimed at customers that are looking for an Android OS, but are not interested in the power of top smartphones today. This is very similar to the budget friendly Orange Boston.

Features of the Orange Tactile Internet include:

  • Android 2.1
  • 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen
  • HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, and aGPS for connectivity
  • 3.2-megapixel camera with a 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 256 MB of ROM and an included 2GB microSD card
  • Weights 104g
  • 107.5 mm tall, 57 mm wide, and 13.8 mm thin

If you are looking for a simple device and would like to join the Android community, you can purchase this device via Orange France online store. The Tactile Internet is running €1 on new contracts.
