SEGA of America has been doing a great job of late, releasing plenty of classic SEGA games that really hit the nostalgic funny-bone. To complement their growing list of retro classics on the Play Store, SEGA has announced they’ll be bringing even more iconic franchises to mobile including Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is expected first with a November release this year and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is due in Winter 2013.
SEGA’s ports to mobile tend to be just that; games that have been appropriated for Android devices with very few changes to the game besides controller support in most cases. That might not seem like much, but for those people who lived and breathed these sorts of games back in the day, playing games like Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in all its pixellated glory is a blast from the past.
Who else is a SEGA veteran who’s excited about these games making their way to Android? Let us know in the comments.
