The unofficial release of Android 2.2 is making it’s way around picking up new devices to infect with it’s goodness. Today we learn the we can now add the Droid by motorola to the list. Android 2.2 is not fully operational yet as the only thing it lacks is the WiFi connectivity. The WiFi was left off the port to protect the source of the ROM.
If you would like to try out this unofficial update to your Motorola Droid, by all means but remember, AndroidStory is not responsible for any damages to your device or for your feelings when you  have messed up and bricked your device. with that said, don’t mess up and enjoy!
You can head to MyDroidWorld for the files needed, as well as step by step instructions to lead you to the path of “Froyo.” Â Again, enjoy and make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
