Now that Android is finally getting the attention it deserves from devs of games and apps, many users are finding that it is now possible to compete, share files, and play games with users across both leading platforms, iOS and Android.
There are a few games that have enabled players to compete with users from ‘the other OS’ for a while now, but it seems that this ability is finally getting known and put to use. Games such as Raging Thunder 2 and Homerun Battle 3-D have been doing this for a while, and the latest addition to the gaming environment is Skies of Glory.
Skies of Glory, by Social Gaming Network, enables players to compete with users over WiFi, 3G, or bluetooth connections; not a bad way to open up the compatibility realm. So now the battle for the best OS not only exists in the real world, but the gaming one as well.
Also adding to the list of compatibility is the app Bump. Apple featured this app in an ad that they did for the iPhone 3GS, and now the Android Market has been graced with this app as well. Users of the app can also share files via Android-Android, Android-iOS (or vice versa). Pretty nifty, especially since iOS uses a pretty basic file feature set, unless jailbroken of course.
