With Gingerbread (Android 2.3) almost about to be released and Honeycomb (Android 3.0.1) still in development, some devices running both versions have been spotted in Google Analytics data logs. While it’s impossible to know what devices they are running from, it does tell us that some devices might be out there running the upcoming versions of Android – 2.3 and 3.0.1.
Though this does not necessarily confirm that the actual OS versions are out there, it could tell us that some OS testing may be going on in the wild or worse case … it’s just a prank – hopefully the former. Seeing Gingerbread pop up isn’t that surprising, but seeing the next version, Honeycomb, on the logs may seem just a bit early don’t you think?
