Last week, we reported that there was a little survey roaming around the digital streets, asking customers of T-Mobile what “Endless” 4G plans mean to them. Rumors then spread like a bad rash that T-Mobile was going to be bringing “true” unlimited 4G plans that did not throttle down the speed when reaching 5 GB. All the carriers went the route of throttling down unlimited plans, and did a play-on-words with us. Flashing that lovely word unlimited even though it was technically not true. We all groaned when we realized it.
Well those rumors are now turning true, and T-Mobile is bringing back that word unlimited with no playing with our brains. $30 a month for this unlimited data plan, is all you will pulling out of your pocket. There is also a $20 value plan as well and these plans will be available for all accounts including business accounts. Sadly, those of you that do that silly true wireless tethering from your phone, will not be able to combine your hotspot plan with these new plans. Just root your phone and you will be fine.
“For only 10 more dollars per month, enjoy all the things your smartphone can do…” That is quite a good selling point T-Mobile has there, and these new plans will start being available to the public on September 5th. I wonder if any of the other carriers will jump in this all-you-can-eat buffet of data. In a perfect world, sure. Let us know what you guys think.
