Splashtop THD lands, brings PC gaming to Transformer Prime and other ICS Tegra 3 powered Devices

Some of you might remember a post we did shortly after CES in January about Splashtop THD. While at the NVIDIA press conference they showed us how powerful the application is when it comes to connecting your Transformer Prime to your PC or Laptop. They went through the usual set of operations like, browsing the web, listening to music and watching videos with sound. While that was pretty cool, there are plenty of options out there that do the same thing. When they showed us Skyrim playing flawlessly on the Prime, that is when the oohs and awes lit up the conference room.

Finally that application has been released to the public. Allowing anyone with a compatible device to stream their PC to their device at a full 60 frames per second. Thanks to the ability of the Prime to have that wicked little dock and supports a USB mouse, you can whip out your tablet and play a little Skyrim if you just can’t wait to get to your PC. Ultimately using an XBox 360 controller would be a better option though. If you don’t have access to either of those options, then you can always activated the on screen gamepad. Pretty cool really.

The application is available for Ice Cream Sandwich devices with a Tegra 3 processor inside. Which, limits its use for the moment. You can pick the app up below via the QR code, simply click or scan to purchase this amazingly powerful piece of software.
