5 more cost effective Ice Cream Sandwich tablets announced by Coby for 2012

Back on the 5th we introduced you guys to a new tablet coming out of China called the Novo 7. Its biggest claim to fame is that it is the worlds first tablet to launch with Ice Cream Sandwich already on board. Between that and the $100 price tag people are giving it some serious thought. Of course the rest of the mid to low end tablet manufacturers are going to jump on board as soon as possible to get a leg up. Looks like Coby is the next company to start to jump into the freezer.

Coby just announced their latest Android powered tablet series. They hope to be the first company to launch an ICS tablet state side at a reasonable price. They plan to launch 5 variations of their new tablet. You will have your choice from a 7-inch, 8-inch, 9-inch, 9.7-inch, and 10-inch model. Giving you plenty of choices. All five models will have the same internals with just varying screen sizes. You can expect as 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, a capacitive touchscreen in your size choice, 1GB or RAM, WIFi, HDMI out at 1080p and micro SD card support for up to 32 GB of storage.

They didn’t reveal their pricing scheme just yet. They are slated to go on sale in Q1 of 2012. I am sure they will have these on hand in January at CES and we will do our best to track them down and take a gander to report back how they are looking.
