Acer To Debut Tablet Line at November 23rd Event

In a recent interview with Dow Jones Newswire, Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci offered up some interesting information confirming the launch of Acer’s new tablet line of devices which is said to make its debut at the Acer press event on November 23rd.

As Android tablets plan on taking over the market within the next year, it looks like Acer will take advantage of the holiday season sales as talk of multiple tablets are rumored to be unveiled ranging in sizes from that of the 5-inch Dell Streak to a much larger i*ad size. We would also assume that Windows OS could claim some of these tablets, but we do know that Acer’s love of the Android OS will definitely be something to look forward to.

According to Acer’s CEO, Acer is planning on being the “leader in mobile solutions for PC products from 3-inch to 20-inch.” Exciting, huh? No other specifics were given, although the pricing between $299 to $699 seems hopeful. Also promising, our previous report revealed that Acer was looking forward to Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the firmware for their tablets. Anyone else just circle the 23rd of November on their calender?
