Airbnb offers free stay for those affected by Paris attacks

For better or worse, Airbnb has revolutionized the hospitality industry, however there is no way you can argue with their latest move. To say the least, the Paris attacks have caused a lot of distress for those affected, and for some a place to stay in the city is not a guaranteed thing – that’s where Airbnb is committed to helping. If you check-in before November 17th, Airbnb is offering free stay to anybody who wants to stay in Paris, whether it be for family members who are looking for confirmation about their loved ones, or those who are stuck in the city due to closures – Airbnb is also waiving their service fee, and there don’t appear to be any other conditions besides checking-in before Nov 17th. Airbnb is also taking any offers from Paris residents to offer their place for people to stay for free.

Airbnb’s gesture is the latest in the online community’s pooling of efforts in helping the people of Paris during this harrowing time – there’s also Google offering free Hangouts calls, Facebook has offered its safety confirmation tool once again, and this is probably just the beginning of similar gestures from other large companies.
