Alive Video Wallpapers, what live wallpapers should have always Been

We will briefly show you a little bit on each one in just a second. First, a brief little run down. These are obviously live wallpapers. Rather than being computer generated, loaded full of old school rotating triangles or digitally created leaves floating in the wind, they are all using actual video clips of real world things. They run great on 97% of all Android devices. The videos you will see below are absolutely breath-taking. Unlike most live wallpapers, these will go idle when your phone screen is off or when you open up another application. The biggestÂ selling point, these stunning live videos won’t drain any more battery on your device then a static photo wallpaper will. That right there sold me on them. That and the fact that they were real videos from the real world and not fake. Each variation of the app has a free version which is ad free and comes with a select few videos to use at your leisure. You can expand the number of videos you can use with a simple purchase of the full app. Which is only $0.99.

This one is all about the Ocean. From Crashing waves to a Light House to a school of sharks and everything in between. This version offer up 3 videos for no cost. The Light house, Crashing waves and a fish one.

Waterfall Video Wallpapers

As you should have already gathered, this one features various waterfall videos. This one is one has 5 various free videos to choose from; Niagra Blue, Iguaza, Night Falls, Surge and Misty Mountain Lake. There are a total of 15 if you purchase the full version.

Alive Video Wallpaper

This one is based on various natural surrounds such as; Coral Reef, Lush Forest and Night Valley. The free version offers up 10 choices for you to have with another 5 available in the purchased version.

Not sure about you guys, but I am hooked. He just scored $3 from me.

Each app has a free version with a paid version for access to more videos. Each video is downloaded to your deviceÂ separatelyÂ so you don’t have to worry about filling up your memory with a bunch you don’t like. It is recommended that you do download each video or the entire video pack on Wi-Fi though. Obvious reason is because it’s probably faster than your mobile data connection and because you don’t want to eat up your plan if you don’t have unlimited.

It should go without saying, but we are going to say it anyways. These are Live Wallpapers. Meaning there is no icon for them one you install them. You need to long press on your home screen and select wallpapers then Live Wallpapers or go though your devices settings to get your wallpaper settings. However you want is fine.

We also had a chance to speak with the developer for a bit. He clued us into some future plans that I think those of you with tablets will like hearing.

” Yeah, again, good point. Thing is, the clips are shot in landscape. However, I am bringing out a dedicated tablet version pretty soon. Can’t wait to see the clips done the full justice of a landscape mode, they really are impressive. I’m toying with the idea of offering longer play videos for tabs too.”

Potentially longer videos and tablet support on the way. That does mean that the ones you have just seen are optimized primarily for phones. We can’t wait to see how the tablet venture goes in the near future. We can only imagine how great a live video of the ocean will look on your Nexus 7 or other tablets on the market.
