Both devices were on the list to get Lollipop today and Google/HTC have delivered on that statement. However, they are going one step further than some might have thought by pushing out the update with Android 5.0.1 vs Android 5.0 . This is semi surprising as Android 5.0.1 was just pushed to the Android AOSP a few days ago.
The update will come to you via a typical OTA style file. The update rolls in at 527.8 MBs. You will need at least 500MBs of free space to even begin updating, so clear out some trash if you are running low. Be sure your device is charged up also, anything under 50% will prevent you from downloading. The final bit of suggestion to help make the process smooth is to make sure you are on a solid, and stable, Wi-Fi connection and have some time to let it all download and install. You can head into settings and check for updates, but that may not always end up resulting in it appearing.
