Android 5.0.2 Lollipop rolling out for AT&T Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen)

Those of you that have been patiently waiting for Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to grace your AT&T branded Motorola Moto X 2nd Gen can finally start furiously hitting the update button. According to the devices page with Motorola the update is rolling out to customers. AT&T doesn’t have their page updated yet to reflect the push, but I have it from a number of associates that they just got the download. The update will carry software version number 22.21.34, weighs in at 850MB’s and bring it up to speed with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The update brings in a lot of things for owners. You will see the new colorful look and feel of Material Design and the fluid animations, widgets, system colors and new applications. You will get the new notification UI and priorities, new interruptions and downtime settings, a redesigned recent apps (overview) page, a flashlight in the Quick Settings and a whole heck of a lot more.

If you don’t see the update yet, head to your Moto X’s settings > About phone > System updates > Yes, I’m in. Be sure you have well over 50% battery life, a solid Wi-Fi connection and some time to kill for it to download and install.
