Not all that long ago we shared with everyone the fact that 10 premium apps were available in the
Android Market for only 10 cents each. The title, “10 Billion Promo.” With out any official word at the time of the story, we just left the speculation alone. Looks like our thoughts of it being aimed at 10 billion downloads was correct. The stats are now in and we have reached that 10 billion download status. The achievement was reached over the weekend and downloads are currently averaging one billion a month. That is pretty crazy to think about. I am sure that number is only going to increase over the next ten days too.
In celebration, Google has partnered up with some of the biggest app developers on the market and started the 10 cent promo. Each day there will be 10 new apps up for grabs for only a dime. So don’t hesitate in picking any or all of them up. You can head over to our original article which lists them all with links, or you can just head straight to the market now and start buying. Expect some issues every now and again though. With a promo this phenomenal, the market is sure to get overloaded for the next 10 days.
