Archos Xenon 80

Only a few short days after their announcement of the ChefPad, Archos has announced another entry-level tablet, the Archos 80 Xenon.

The 80 Xenon is an 8″ tablet with a 1024×768 IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB of RAM. It will be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 64GB with the MicroSD slot.

As far as internet capabilities are concerned, the tablet will have built-in 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi. Described as an “Un-SIM-locked” tablet, it can accept SIM cards from any provider.

Other specs include a 2-megapixal rear-facing camera, GPS, Bluetooth and Archos Media Center.

The Xenon 80 will be available in June and starts at $199.99.
