Bootloader unlocks dropped by HTC for 5 more devices, proves even older models need some Love

HTC made a promise to the developers, the community and to the consumers. They said they would unlock as many bootloaders as humanly possible for as many devices as they could. They have been doing a fantastic job at getting things together and devices added. Near as we can tell, they did manage to unlock every device made after September of 2011, which was part of their promise. Now HTC moves to unlock older handsets that still exist.

As you can see, they have added in the Hero, legend, Droid Eris, myTouch 3G and myTouch 4G. Of course anything that you choose to do with the unlock tool and to your device voids your warranty. Not that too many of those devices should even still have a warranty though. If you are rocking one of the mentioned devices, or just haven’t check out if yours has been added or not, head on over to HTCDev.com and get to it.

Good work HTC. Even though you screwed up by flooding the market with devices last year, I still love ya just for this reason. Now, if i could just get my hands on a HTC device with AOSP Android and not Sense I would be much happier to purchase one.
