Clearwire will announce Samsung and HTC 4G Smartphones this year

Clearwire has stated that they are going to announce a smartphone with 4G capability from Samsung and HTC before the end of this year during the Q1 earning call today. The Samsung phone will be Android powered, but Clearwire leave a question mark on HTC. They only said that it will be a 3G/4G/Wi-Fi enabled phone. Engadget is expecting that it will be a WinMo 7 powered phone. If you are thinking that it will be the Sprint Evo 4G then I am sorry mate, you are wrong. Clearwire made it clear that the HTC device would not be the Evo 4G. If it’s not Evo then there is something going on behind the scene.

As an Android Lover, I hope that it would be an Android powered phone. Whatever is going on, it will be exploded in upcoming days. As Clearwire network uses Sprint’s 3G service for voice, and Sprint is a majority shareholder of Clearwire itself, may be the Samsung 4G device will hit Sprint too. That’s what I think. Let see what happen.
