Colin Furze is sending some HTC One M8s into space to takes some videos

We’ve covered some of Colin Furze’s antics over at our sister site, TheSavvyTechs, and if you’re been around the internet at all the last year, you’ll know that Furze is essentially the perfect personification of a mad scientist. On his YouTube channel, he’s made incredible DIY videos of magnetic boots and Wolverine claws, but his latest project is a little more docile, but no less impressive. HTC, as part of its Creatography initiative, has given Furze some of their latest flagship devices, the HTC One M8, and he’s responded in his signature mad scientist style: Colin Furze is sending some HTC One M8s into space. Check out his introductory video to this project:

So in a nutshell, Furze is going to be sending up the HTC One M8s via space balloons and launching fireworks from them, all while filming them using the One M8’s camera. It should be a spectacular feat, if he can pull it off, and the next phase of his preparation will involve freezing the One M8 to see if it can withstand being up in the stratosphere. To read more about HTC’s Creatography initiative and the projects they have spawned, though admittedly none of them are outlandish as Furze’s, hit the source link below to check it out.
