Dell Sends Two Android Devices to India

As Dell has recently launched their Venue WP7 device, they have also been working on two devices that are headed to India. The Dell XCD28 and the XCD35 will soon be launching in India and while they’ll be running Android 2.1, it’s still better than the outdated 1.6.

Features of the Dell XCD35 (shown above) include:

  • Android 2.1
  • 3.5-inch display
  • 3G connectivity
  • FM tuner
  • Integrated media players
  • 200MB internal storage
  • Expandable storage via microSD card up to 16GB
  • ActiveSync and Microsoft Email Exchange

These devices pretty much match up completely, although the XCD28 will feature a 2.8-inch display instead of the 3.5-inch on the XCD35. The price of the Dell XCD28 device will be Rs. 10,990 and the XCD35 will go for Rs. 16,990. These entry-level handsets are nothing to really brag about, but it in fact does expand the Android OS to more users which is always a plus.

Anyone interested in any of these little guys?
