Droid RAZR plays for the camera; Showing off Speedtests, bootanimation and some UI Goodies

Although I was mildly surprised at what I saw and read about the Droid RAZR, I am still a little stand offish. Sure it has a good processor, nice came, slash guard and Kevlar battery panel, but is that enough to make it different from anything else Motorola has put out recently? I am sure after the the final death of the original RAZR, many had hoped to get there hands on a new and improved version. If for no other reason than to say they have a RAZR.

One lucky person out there does happen to have a Droid RAZR already in their possession and was kind enough to give us all a little looksee at some speed tests along with the boot animation and UI walk through, take a look. It is a little over 5 minutes with no voice or music, so be prepared of a silent flick.

All in all it doesn’t look to bad. The UI is nicer than I would have expected to see and the animations are a nice touch. The device is scheduled for launch on November 10th carrying the usual Verizon price tag of $300 bones on a two contract. We all know Motorola and Verizon’s track record with Android lately hasn’t been the best, but is this device the one that could turn things around? Does the promise of Ice Cream Sandwich hold enough weight to make this a potential contender or at least make it a device you will consider purchasing?
