Easily Install Android on the HTC HD2

Looking to give your HTC HD2 the Android treatment it deserves but don’t know where to start? Froyo can be served easily on your device with just about 600MB of free SD card space!

Steps to Froyo:

  • Download THIS file, unzip it and place the contents on your HD2’s SD card.
  • From the Windows Mobile File Manager App go into the Android folder and tap “CLRCAD”, then tap “Haret”.

CLRCAD is a fix for sound, it may seem like nothing happened but it’s very important if you’d like to use the phone as a phone. Haret will take a few minutes to run the first time.  It’s making your Android OS so just wait. Future boots won’t take anywhere near as long.  Once it finishes booting you’re in Android.

You can now make phone calls, text, browse the web, e-mailing, take pictures and browse the Android market!

Unfortunately, there is no bootloader for easy switching between Windows and Android OS, so if you reboot your device, you need to complete the file manager process again to boot back into Android.
