Fallout Shelter update adds pets, dweller eviction and Overseer options

The hype for Fallout Shelter has well and truly died down now that Fallout 4 has been released for consoles and PC, but that doesn’t mean Bethesda is content to let the mobile game go without updates. While there hasn’t been a sizeable update to the game since launch, that’s all changed with the latest Fallout Shelter update which has enough content and improvements to at least warrant another attempt at being an Overseer of a fledgling Vault. According to the notes on the Play Store page, the game has been updated with pets, which add to the happiness of your Vault dwellers, and if there are dwellers that you don’t like, you can now evict them from your Vault. There are also some more minor improvements that avid players will notice such as new conversations between dwellers of opposite sex and a new option to sell everything in your inventory.

WHAT’S NEW

  • Vault-Tec research has shown that four legged companions can have a profound impact on Vault happiness and productivity. Introducing Pets!
  • Have a lazy or trouble causing dweller? Now you can evict dwellers and send them on their way.
  • Bored with the same pickup lines and conversations? Dwellers have finally learned some new ways to impress other dwellers and the opposite sex.
  • Overseers will love the new sell all options.
  • Dweller management improvements and new objectives.

Despite being a free-to-play game, Fallout Shelter is remarkably playable without the need for forking out actual money, though it can get a little repetitive once you’ve worked out the secret to a self-sustaining Vault.
