FC Barcelona and OPPO team up in partnership to celebrate the art of football and smartphones

If you asked which smartphone manufacturer would be logical for one of the biggest football clubs in the world to partner with, I’m willing to bet OPPO wasn’t going to be your first answer. Whatever you might have thought, FC Barcelona and OPPO have announced a partnership today, just a day after FC Barcelona won the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao. For both parties, the partnership is a good fit - as Tony Chen, CEO of OPPO, puts it, FC Barcelona represents the art of football, and likewise, FC Barcelona CEO, Ignacio Mestre, says that OPPO is “known for its exquisite product design and state-of-the-art camera technologies”.

FC Barcelona and OPPOIt will be very interesting to see how this partnership pans out for both parties – no doubt we’ll be seeing OPPO signage up at FC Barcelona’s games and perhaps we’ll see FC Barcelona themed OPPO smartphones in the future. We’re very impressed that OPPO has secured a deal like this with FC Barcelona, a team which features global superstars like Lionel Messi and Neymar, which will no doubt increase their brand in regions that might not have known their name previously.
