Free episodes of The Walking Dead, Psych and others in the Play Store

Google Play Movies & TV
After Google went from the Android Market to the Play Store, a lot of things started getting put in the mix. Movies, TV Shows, Books and Magazines. It was a good movie on Google’s part to bolster up their offerings. Especially since the Play Store name covers a broader group of people. Since you can read books and magazines and watch movies and TV show right on your PC. It means that you don’t have to have an Android device to enjoy them. It was also aimed at bringing more content providers on board with what Google was trying to achieve.

That doesn’t mean that everything is all gravy though. I routinely cruise through the TV and Movie section to see what is out and what is on sale. Nothing ever really seems to catch my eye or draw in the attention. That is where Google needs to get some focus going. While we know the content is there, I wonder how many people ever even look. Obviously some people do since there are comments on things quite often. Hardly ever do I see an Android site ever talking about them though. So I think we might be changing that a bit and maybe doing a movie of the week or something. Who knows, maybe we will start a book club and try to be cool like Oprah….. Ya, probably not going to go that far.

Free TV episodes
Talk about a terrible amount of unneeded information right? So what is going on with the free TV shows? Well Google has a list of free TV episodes that we saw on a banner on the web version of the Play Store. I see free and I click away. Currently there are 22 various shows that offer up a free episode of some sorts. Some I have heard of, others I haven’t. Mostly because I live on Netflix and have not had cable in nearly 2 years. Still, there is some content available to keep you occupied. The Walking Dead has 4 episodes available, but not of the show. They are all “Inside the Walking Dead” episodes. Like the visual effects, cast on season 3 and so on. They are at least in HD though, so that is a plus. For Walking Dead fans, it is a cool couple of episodes to have available.

You can see the entire list at Free TV Episodes.

Don’t forget, you will need the Google Play Movies & TV app installed to watch them on your device.
