From Project Glass to AR Contact Lenses…

Hello my fellow Android and Androidettes,

We have seen the project Google has set forth for impending release (one of these days in the distant future, 2014 I think) called Project Glass.  I have long thought that Augmented Reality (AR) or contact lenses that could be programmed for vision correction or various other tasks would be the cat’s meow…it appears others had the same idea.  I like.

There are rumors that Google is working on AR lenses for those that don’t want to wear the Glass.  Again, this is a rumor, though there is credible information out there about the Pentagon seeking AR contacts for operatives and we all know Google loves to push the envelope on what is conventional and creative in the virtual world.  It is my guess that we will see something like this in the next 10 years or so, I’m truly hoping sooner but am willing to wait it out.

Are you excited/intrigued/scared about this prospect of AR contacts?  Shoot us your thoughts as we always enjoy hearing what our dedicated readers have to say.

Zachdroid…OUT.
