Sad news people! It appears that the rumored rollout of Android 2.0.1 for the T-Mobile G1 and MyToch3G may have been premature. We did report back to you guys back in December that one of our sources had reportedly got hold of an official T-Mobile Android 2.01 and 2.1 update for the Tmobile G1 and MyTouch 3G. We still have no way of confirming that news and now this. I hope someone justr gives us some the truth soon, the suspense is killing us.
Here is a quote from the T-Mobile forums:
“The Cliq will be getting 2.x.x soon – as for the G1 and MyTouch, they are working with Google to try to see if they can come up with a release for those two phones, so, no date yet, and no ‘Yes, we’ll get it’â€
He said that their notes say that once they have determined that they CAN or CANNOT get a suitable release for the G1 and MyTouch, they will be making an announcement for G1/MyTouch owners indicating such and how to proceed. But at this time, they are still working with Google to come up with a suitable release and are doing what they can to try to ensure (if a suitable release is possible) that we will see something.
