Galaxy Nexus perm-root achieved via Superboot

Great news for the Android development community. The Galaxy Nexus has achieved perm-root status thanks to XDA member paulobrien, who has devised a method that will allow all you lucky SOB’s who got a G-Nex to obtain permanent root and all the freedom that comes along with it. The “fix” is rather simple to apply, as it requires n0 knowledge of ADB, or anything even remotely related to your memory partitions. This should make the fear of rooting your newly acquire tool subside, as the process is nowhere near what it used to be (though, it’s never been all that hard). Basically, all you have to do is flash the insecure boot.img to your device, sit back, relax and let the tool do its magic on its own. Once rebooted, say goodbye to restriction and hello to permanent root. For all the info you’ll need to get yourself going, make sure to check out Paul’s original thread.
