Gameloft brings Dungeon Hunter 5 to Android finally

At the beginning of the year Gameloft started teasing the upcoming hack n’ slash follow-up title, Dungeon Hunter 5.  The fifth installment to the series is said to be a direct sequel to Dungeon Hunter 4 where you will get to see the consequences of the demon war. The graphics on the new release have been enhanced and there are a number of new things to look forward to. For instance, you now have your own dungeon, called strongholds, that holds your loot and must be protected from would be thieves aka other players.

At launch the title brings 50 missions that are playable on three different difficulty modes, eight unique environments, eight new monstrous bosses and forty-five types of monsters and demons.

Evolution of the genre:

  • The Stronghold: customize and defend your stronghold and raid others’ loot in a new asynchronous PvP mode
  • The Allies: bring your friends and other players to help you in your journey
  • Master 5 Elements: a range of weapons, armors and skills are each associated with an elemental type that needs to be used strategically
  • Items and Skills: deep customization of your character through fusion and evolution; invest in your items & watch them grow in power

The video and screenshots look pretty outstanding. Gameloft has launched the title to the Play Store as a freemium title with various in-app purchase options. I have yet to give it a whirl so I am not certain how intrusive or forced they might be. I am sure long time Dungeon Hunter players will be sure to speak up for or against it real quick though. Hit the link below and give it a whirl.
