Gameloft offer up first look at new dual-stick non-stop action shooter Zombiewood, launching this Halloween

Gameloft is on a roll lately. In the last few months they have released The Dark Knight Rises, Asphalt 7 and Wild Blood. They mentioned late in the summer that they would be bringing 20 games to market before the year is up, and they are well on their way. We know we still can look forward to Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Another title that we saw being talked about was called Zombiewood.

Now we get to take a  small look at what Zombiewood is all about. It is another entry into the zombiepocolypse scenario that we all love so much. You take control of a Hollywood Stuntman turned action hero. Your new boss is eager to capitalize on the panic, destruction and insanity that is now Zombiewood by making you the lead in his real life movies. Kind of a cheesy twist to the game, but you will see in a minute that it looks pretty good.

Zombiewood will be a free-to-play dual-stick non-stop action shooter style game with a variety of extras. You will be able to unlock and upgrade your arsenal of zombie killing weaponry. You will have various outfits to give your character a fun, outlandish or scary look. Cause oodles of destruction and general mayhem in L.A. and Santa Monica as you kill off wave after wave of the undead. Zombiewood will also offer up a variety of game modes like the traditional survival mode. You will also have modes like escort, barricade and marathon.

Take a quick watch.

Zombiewood is scheduled to launch this Halloween on Android and iOS.

I’m a bit excited. THe trailer looks pretty awesome. Not sure how the movie part plays into the game though. Being a free-to-play title will easily mean that there will be in app purchases available. With this style of game it will most likely be aimed at new outfits and weapons. hopefully it isn’t for new starring roles in a movie or extra lives once you get killed too much.
