GameTanium subscription service launches with Verizon

Verizon has recently announced that they have launched Extent’s GameTanium service on their network. GameTanium is an exclusive subscription based Android gaming service where you pay a flat monthly fee and can choose from 100 smartphone and 50 tablet Android games.

“We are excited to bring the launch of the GameTanium smartphone and tablet service to Verizon Wireless’ customer base,” says Zvi Levgoren, founder and chief executive officer, Exent. “The speed and power of Verizon Wireless’ network allows for a rich mobile gaming experience for Verizon Wireless customers to enjoy.”

The new gaming service for Verizon customers can be downloaded through the Verizon Apps app. If you pick it up, you get a 3-day free trial to get you started and addicted to the service. After that, your monthly subscription is automatically activated and charged to your monthly bill. Not to sure how I like that aspect of it. On the other side of the coin though, you are getting access to games like Plants vs Zombie, World of Goo and many other hot titles at a fraction of the cost without worrying about a 15 minute refund window.

GameTanium isn’t limited to just Verizon customers though. The service itself has been around for a while now. It isn’t available in the Play Store though. You would need to navigate to GameTanium.com and side load the app like many of us already know how to do. The difference between the standard version and the Verizon version is that it is billed to your cell bill instead of your credit card.
