Now that Android 4.4 KitKat has come out of the rock it was under, we all want to know when our devices will start seeing our updates. Google addressed that that all the Nexus phones, except for the Galaxy Nexus, will receive Android 4.4 and it should be really soon. Google also mentioned that their Google Edition HTC One and Galaxy S4 will see Android 4.4 in about 15 days. But now that we got the Google phones out of the way, we can now look at the other OEMs.

HTC’s Jason Mackenzie in a recent interview with Engadget, said they are committed to getting all HTC Ones in North America, Android 4.4 in 90 days. That is a pretty bold promise, considering HTC has always been one to suffer from delays. Motorola mentioned that their new line of phones will be the first to receive the update as well. So it you got a Moto X, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini, expect the update to get to you very soon. No word on when exactly that will occur.

It is nice to see the OEMs mentioning about their phones getting the updates on the very day the update became official. Let us know what you think about it, and how excited you are to get it.
