Google takes us under the sea in new Street View Addition

Personally, I love Google Maps and the Street View feature. We can always count on Google to bring us a great first person look at the world around us. It doesn’t matter where you live, your financial situation or your demographic. The most recent addition to Google Maps Street View gives us a look at the under sea world that many of us have only seen on Discovery.

Now you can take a swim with the fishes with out the cement boots. They have added in the Great Barrier Reef, hit up Oahu’s Hanauma Bay and Maui’s Molokini crater. You can also wiggle through Apo Island reserve in the Philippines. All from the comfort of your… PC…. Yes, I said PC. The Street View diving experience isn’t quite prime time on Google Maps on Android. That doesn’t mean it won’t be coming at some point though. I don’t know about you guys, but this is pretty amazing.

Google has teamed up with The Catlin Seaview Survey guys to help bring as much oceanic street view excitement as they can to us all. Check out the short video below and be sure to hit up Google Lat Long blog for more information and links to all these amazing spots.
