Google TV Update v1.3 – No Market Yet

Although Google has mentioned that a new update with market access would roll out soon, this is not the case with the update that has been rolling out over the past few days. This new update changes your current version to 1.3 and corrects some existing issues with the service, while also adding a few new integrations and features which serve to make for a better experience overall.

  • The media player now supports more WMA audio files
  • Netflix and CNBC Real Time are better integrated into Google TV
  • Improved transition between songs in Pandora
  • Support for Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity on Sony devices
  • Support for a broader range of Blu-ray discs

Google knows that releasing any sort of update will only bring more questions about market access to the surface, however there still hasn’t been anything really said regarding this issue. Like everything else Android, it’s being worked on and we’ll just have to wait until they feel that it’s ready for release.
