HANDeBand…Unleash The Power Of Your Handheld

With all of the newer mobile devices rocking such larger screens nowadays, it’s nice to have an accessory that gives you that added security needed when trying to pull off all of those tricky “texting while driving” moves (shame on you). The HANDeBand does just that.

I’m super picky about my gadgets and I go to the extreme to protect them. I recently stumbled upon another company offering a one-handed solution for your beloved mobile device, and I had to check them out.

First off, HANDeBand offers a great deal with not one, but two bands per pack. So you will get not only one single band for your phone, but a double band as well for a tablet. This really caught my attention considering I have both a phone and a tablet and other companies just offer one  for almost the same price.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 Single HANDeBand
  • 1 Double HANDeBand
  • Alcohol Pad (For Installation)

Now as you can see in the image, there are two bands, one single and one double. They are made of flexible santoprene rubber and have a little give to them as well in case you need a little wiggle room.  The bands have a “quick detach” feature which allows you to easily remove the band from the base for easy pocket placement, which can be a big pain otherwise. You get a full 360° range of motion because of how the band sits on the base, so you can turn it whichever way tickles your fancy. The band fits on both the right or left hand and you can wear it both vertically or horizontally. The website also advertises the use of HANDeBands as a kickstand as well, but I had a bit of an issue with the placement of mine so it didn’t really work to well as a kickstand.

Options

HANDeBands come in three different colors (Tactical Black, Tactical White, Urethane White & Urethane Grey) and offers three different sizes. I personally went with the medium and the fit is a bit snug even though I am female with average size fingers. They do offer this snazzy sizing chart for reference though.

My Thoughts

So, after a few days of using the HANDeBand I am a bit torn. I really do like the concept, but the design leaves something to be desired. The bulk that it adds to your device is a bit much for me and I found myself spending more time taking it on and off the base than I did actually using it. If you are wanting to use this on a device that has a screen smaller then 4″, I wouldn’t recommend it. The base is quite large and won’t allow for a comfortable fit. That being said, this thing works PERFECTLY on my tablet; so  if you have an e-reader or a tablet that’s looking for a little HANDeBand lovin’ then this is for you. It adheres easily, has a good secure grip on the device, and is super easy to uninstall and even re-install on another device with the same  backing. My tablet usually never leaves my desk, so I had no need to take it off the base and it gives a good two fingered grip while playing games, watching videos, etc.

For what you get and at this price point, I would definitely recommend the HANDeBands for the dual band alone. It’s really like buying one and getting one free. You won’t be disappointed with the band for the tablet, and you will have an extra one to try out on your mobile device or even on another tablet. If you wan’t to check out one for yourself head on over to HANDeBand’s website.
