HD Widgets gets update, introduces many fixes and new Flashlight Switch

Cloud.TV just pushed an update to their HD Widgets app. It will require you to manually update the app due to a new permission request for the camera. Don’t be scared, it’s not so they can secretly take your photo when you aren’t looking. Instead it is to incorporate a new widget that many of us have or use from other apps, a Flashlight Switch. Which just lets you activate the flash on your camera as a flashlight. Might seem silly, but I know I have used that function numerous times on my Galaxy S III. It is remarkably bright and much more convenient than searching the house for a flashlight.

In addition to the flashlight switch, there are a number of fixes that address issues like battery and GPS, Jelly Bean voice search, and Sony Calendar. Not to mention a new wind speed option in knots and Beaufort. That is important to some.

Since there is a permission change you will need to head into the Play Store and manually update it to the latest version, which is 3.2 now, in order to get the fixes and additions.

For the rest of you that don’t have HD Widgets, where have you been? They were just featured on the 25 cent app sale and the 10 cent app sale. There is no reason you shouldn’t have picked up this amazing set of HD widgets for your device if it can run them. They are so beautiful. Every Android user should have a copy. If you missed out on the sales, you can still pick them up. HD Widgets offers a huge collection of fully customizable widgets for nearly every ones widget needs. Full price is only $1.99 too. They could put this at $4.99 and it would still be worth every penny.
