HoloPad brings note taking to a new level for ICS based Devices

We do a lot of things with our devices. From playing games, updating calendars, sending and receiving emails, reading books and watching movies. Our smartphones pretty much run every aspect of our life. Finding a great application to help achieve an objective that looks and feels right for you as a user can some times be a daunting task. While in pursuit of something new and fresh to share I can across an old one. By old I mean it has been out and about since February and has seen coverage in the past, but was recently update just yesterday. With more and more devices getting Android 4.0 updates and developers producing stable ROM’s, I thought many of you might have forgotten about it, I know I did.

HoloPad was once called HoloNote and was created by HoloApps. They have also created HoloFiles as well. HoloPad is, in a nut shell, a note taking application. Based on the HoloUX that we all love some much inside ICS. Yes, that means it is all cool blue and black. The most recent release of the HoloPad added in quite a bit of new stuff. The icon was update, a 2×1 Widget was added in and best part, it has a built-in updater so you won’t have to search for the new version on your own. Heres the current list for RC1 from yesterday –

The app is extremely nice. It is very clean-looking and really fast. With the inclusion of the OTA update ability you can go for the most current stable builds, or try your hand at the more recent beta builds. The beta builds will be rolling though periodically and often times testing out new additions, looks and features. For those of you that installed HoloNotes when it launched originally, have no fears of updating. You will not lose any of your current notes that you have saved.

You can dive in a little deeper to the app by downloading it yourself below. Be sure to check in with the developers XDA thread for other information as well. In case I wasn’t clear in the begining, you must have Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0+) on your device to install this application.
