If you no longer wish to use Twitter and want to permanently delete your account, you can follow these steps:
Log in to your Twitter account on the web.
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select “Settings and privacy” from the drop-down menu.
From the left-hand menu, select “Account”.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Deactivate your account”.
Twitter will ask you to confirm your decision to deactivate your account. Read the information on the page carefully and click on “Deactivate @username”.
Twitter will then ask you to enter your password to confirm the deactivation.
Once you’ve entered your password and clicked on “Deactivate account”, your account will be deactivated. Twitter will keep your account and data for 30 days in case you change your mind and want to reactivate your account.
If you want to reactivate your account within 30 days of deactivation, simply log in to your account using your username and password. Your account will be restored as it was before deactivation.
If you do not reactivate your account within 30 days, Twitter will permanently delete your account and all of your data. This process cannot be undone.
It’s important to note that once your account is deleted, your tweets, followers, and other account data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Therefore, make sure to download your Twitter archive if you want to save a copy of your data before deleting your account.
