HTC confirms Sense 5-ish update for some One X, One X+, One S and Butterfly Devices

HTC made a comment on a a Facebook page that points towards an update heading to global variants of the HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC One S and the Butterfly. The wording of the reply is very careful to not state anything specific or any specific region. With wording like ‘some’ , ‘next few months’ and variants. We all know that usually means that international versions will probably see it and U.S. version won’t see one for quite a while after that, if the carriers even decide to make the update.

They don’t directly mention Sense 5 either. The final line  in the comment notes that some features enabled by the HTC One will not be included in the update. It makes ‘sense’ to not give the full HTC One experience to last years devices. With the One have different hardware then them, it is to be expected. We have a feeling things like BlinkFeed will probably be left out. Either way, at some point over the next few months we should start seeing OTA updates rolling out to various users in various countries.
