[Icons] MetroStation icons with configurable Colors

Like many of you, I am always on the hunt for something new and different to really add a little extra to my home screen. Be it a theme, a new set of wallpapers a snazzy widget or just some icons. No matter what device you use, what Android OS you are on or home replacement app you have, icons are always a fun addition.

I stumbled across an icon pack that has been around the block a few times since it has been launched. I never saw it until now. It was created by u1aryz and offers up the Metro style icons that some people really love. Unlike most icon packs that leave you stranded with the look of one color, MetroStation offers a little bit more. There are a total of 411 icons to choose from in a simple vertical layout. Find the one you want and tap on it. You are then brought to a color palate where you can alter the icons color to your choosing. The whole spectrum is there or you can input the hex code to the color you love the most. You can also adjust the level of transparency too.

What makes it pretty cool is that this happens for every single icon. You can color each one differently, or keep them all the same. After you select the color, each one is saved to a folder in your devices memory. To utilize them, you will need a launcher like ADW or Nova, one that lets you change the icon for an app on the homescreen. You should already know how to do this, if not, its pretty simple. Long press an icon, hit edit and then tap on the icon to change it. Find the one you want in your gallery or by folders.

If you are looking for a little Metro style to add to your homescreen, you can’t pass up a free app like this one. Hit up the QR code below to pick it up.
