ICS landing for HTC Amaze 4G May 21st

Today is the supposed to be the official release of the OTA of Ice Cream Sandwich for the HTC Sensation 4G. We caught that news yesterday along with the news that the Amaze ICS update was soon to follow. Now T-Mobile has updated the HTC Amaze 4G support to page to reflect a specific date in mind for launch, May 21st. Much like the Sensations update, this will be Android 4.0.3 running Sense 4 for its overlay. With ICS it brings all the goodies we want like Face Unlock, Home Screen folders and also Improved Battery life.

Not owning one of these ourselves, we aren’t sure about the whole tethering thing. Some of you may remember that the update for the Sensation will include a tethering block of sorts that will require you to activate a tethering plan. T-Mobile made this a special note on the update page. We aren’t seeing that note here for the Amaze, doubtful T-Mobile wont block it though.

At least the good news is that two HTC devices will getting their updates within a week of each other. Now if we can just get some confirmed dates for ICS on their Samsung line up we think more people would be even happier.
