LG G Flex 2 is being touted for a mid-Q1 release in 2015

LG G Flex 2The LG G Flex turned out to be much more than just an exercise in science; with one of the first commercial uses of flexible display technology in smartphones and a self-healing back cover, the G Flex surprised everyone with how intriguing it was and the bright future for flexible displays that it represented. We were always wondering if LG would follow up on the device, and that answer has today been answered by none other than @evleaks himself who has suggested that the follow-up device, the LG G Flex 2, is coming and will be released in mid-Q1 in 2015.

Furthermore, @evleaks suggests that the G Flex 2 will have a feature that is even more special than the self-healing technology of the original G Flex. Should it come in the same screen size as the G Flex, maybe it will come with a mast and you will be able to use its 6-inch screen as a raft. Whatever it is, based on LG’s previous surprising scientific prowess, it’s sure to be mind boggling; Q1 2015 can’t come soon enough.

Did you like the original LG G Flex? And what do you think about it being succeeded by the LG G Flex 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
