LG G5 starts getting Android 7.0 Nougat beta update in Korea

Google hasn’t released new Nexus devices yet, but LG G5 has already started to receive Android 7.0 Nougat beta update in Korea. Thanks to the smartphone company’s new preview program, LG G5 users in Korea can experience the latest version of Android on their LG smartphone.

LG is allowing up to 200 LG G5 users in Korea to register themselves to test the Android 7.0 Nougat update on a first-come, first-serve basis. The enrolment has started yesterday i.e. August 16, 2016. To get enrolled, users will have to download the LG OS preview app from the Play Store and follow the instructions in the app.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update preview of the LG G5 can be downloaded using the company’s PC suite. LG is expected to announce the release date of Android 7.0 update for its flagship smartphone in the coming weeks. However, the LG V20 is expected to be the first phone to carry the next version of Android.
