LG releases a new ad for the LG Watch Urbane showing off different straps and watch faces

Last week, LG announced its latest smartwatch device, the LG Watch Urbane, and unlike its previous two smartwatches, this one was targeted squarely at the high, premium end of the scale. This much is obvious when LG offers only a silver or gold option for the device – a smartwatch for the fashion conscience, to be sure. Today, LG released a new ad for its new premium smartwatch and it highlights the customization still possible with the Urbane, including watch bands and watch faces – check out the ad below:

It’s hard to tell whether LG is going to offer these different watch bands at release, as their bespoke accessories, but it would definitely be a step up from Motorola’s current pair of watch bands (leather and metal) that are available for the Moto 360. We’re still yet to find out how much the Urbane is hurt your wallet, but we’re assuming it’s not going to be kind.

I still haven’t made up my mind about the LG Watch Urbane, primarily since LG seems to have done very little innovation between the Urbane and the LG G Watch R, or indeed even between the G Watch R and the original G Watch. In my eyes, all they’ve done is customized it a little differently and given it a different face. But perhaps I’m just not the right target audience for this kind of device.
